Avocado-Hummus-15

AVOCADO HUMMUS WITH PENJA PEPPER

A healthy, easy-to-make appetizer that pairs perfectly with plantain chips or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe organic avocado

  • 1 can chickpeas (approx. 400g), rinsed and drained

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 0.75 cl olive oil

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Black Penja Pepper

  • Basil or parsley leaf (for garnish)

Serve with:

  • Ripe plantain chips

  • Vegetable “dips” like zucchini, cucumbers, celery, or carrots

  • Toasted whole-grain bread slices

Preparation:

  1. Dice the ripe avocado and chop the garlic into small pieces.

  2. Place them in a bowl with the rinsed and drained chickpeas. Add olive oil, lime juice, salt, and the star ingredient: 3-4 grinds of Black Penja Pepper!

  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  4. Plate in a small bowl. Drizzle with a bit of oil and garnish with a basil leaf.

  5. This creation offers a refreshing sensation in the mouth that is most pleasant!
